Dr. Oz is the main man on the Oprah Show that talks about diet and nutrition. He had a simple thought that is not reflected in your top 10 list. He says that it is most important to eat breakfast and he talks about Leptin and Ghrelin. There is something that has made no sense to me for a long time. There are said to be 9 calories in a gram of fat that we eat. Then we are told that by burning up 3500 calories we will lose a pound of fat. The problem is that 9 calories time 454 grams in a pound equals 4086 and not 3500.

I am a sugar addict and the restriction of sugar is the way I am losing weight. I also try to reduce meat and found that beans are your friend. Beans with a little raw onion and jalapeno pepper is great. People generally do not get enough magnesium, vitamin D, and omega-3. You need to read up on that. If you use the Firefox browser, you can hit the F3 key and bring up a search box. It will highlight the first occurance of your search word or term. It then has buttons to go to ”Find Next” or ”Find Previous” or ”Highlight all.”

Americans have a deficiency of omega-3 fatty acids in their diet. You might read up on the importance of the proper ratio of omega-3 to omega 6 EFAs. Flaxseed is a good cheap source and it is best to grind your own instead of buying flour or oil.

I found that swishing was a lot harder than brushing teeth with oil. I use a battery brush with a circular motion and try to scrub everything in my mouth with safflower oil. It seems to make the teeth whiter/cleaner and the gums appear to have improved.

I doubt that many people will have thought of this, but this swishing might be helpful for people wanting to get cannabis out of their system for a drug test. Cannabis is fat soluble which is why it stays in your body so long.
I could see how this would act to suck THC out of the body and I am surprised I have never heard this mentioned. I guess you could test the used oil with testing strip, even though those strips are really testing for THC metabolites instead of THC itself.

I am a sugar addict myself. I read about cinnamon for sugar cravings here at CureZone. Cinnamon is something that any diabetic should read about. I drink a lot of lemonade with Stevia and add cinnamon. It makes it a better drink and I think it does help with sugar cravings. It is good on apples too. But sugar addiction is as real and pretty near tobacco addiction. Cinnamon helps, but it is still tough to go more than a week without a little sugar water treat.

When I first tried castor oil on my skin it produced a blister-like bubble on my arm that when mashed let out a clear fluid. When I did it again, I got another bubble and then no more. I used it under my arm and it cleared up some acne-like blemishes.

I was wondering if Curezone had a bookmarking feature like there is at Democratic Underground. I see they have a feature that lets you see all of a person’s messages, which helps keep track of what I write, but not my favorite screens of other posters. I do bookmark them in Firefox, but then I cannot get the reply screens in Firefox. What IE calls Favorites, Firefox calls Bookmarks.
My understanding is that you can edit a post forever which I think is one great feature at CureZone.

I am trying to eat more raw foods and about a fourth of a coconut helps with increasing that ratio.
I really do not see why people think opening a coconut is so hard. I think most are stuck on the idea of hammers. There is a trick in killing a catfish in order to ”skin a cat.” You take a blunt object and whack it hard on the head. With a coconut one whack with a crowbar is plenty if you are not bashful with the blow.

There is an overlap of ideas concerning health with this forum. I read right much at curezone and have at least scanned most of this forum. Coconut fits overlaps with the raw diet question and even juicing.
There is a produce market in town that sells small coconuts for 69 cents that sparks this entry. Is there anything in the coconut meat that would make it second to coconut oil for purposes of nutrition? It overlaps juicing and I have not heard anyone here mention adding either the fluid or the meat to a juicer.

Flaxseed is all but mainstream. Wal-Mart sells 8 ounces of organic flaxseed oil for around $5.50. There is an abundance of flaxseed oil products.
The superior product to flax seed and its oil is hemp seed. It has an even better ratio of omega-3 to omega-6. The problem is that it is more expensive. Flaxseed oil is often described as nutty, while hempseed oil is light and delicate. Hempseed oil is great for salad oil. I have just started using APV with hempseed oil.
Omega-3 is a big deal. If I did not have flaxseed oil, I would pick some up at Wal-Mart.

Cannabis dosage is determined by how you feel. There is no such thing as death by toxicity or even injury by toxicity as cannabis is extremely safe. The technical name for a user determining dosage is titration.
Thanks to prohibition and the controlled media many people do not know what vaporization is. Smoking pot is burning and there is some problem associated with heart and lungs that is magnified by crappy pot. Even then cannabis does not cause lung cancer or empasema.
