Gram flour is the flour of bengal gram. Bengal gram look like chick peas, but are smaller. Any Indian store will have it. Its very cheap - like $1 or $2 per pound. Cumin, fennel, turmeric, coriander, cilantro are the best spices/herbs when you have acne. They are cooling and help counter the pitta which causes acne. One must investigate what minerals one is trying to get from drinking water. As such tap water contains toxic chemicals, which you dont want to consume. Yeah, I have heard that too.. Well, these days tomatoes are hard to come by and are super expensive. Its the best time of the year for the green veggies. I am eating those mainly.. I go to the Indian grocery store and get most of my veggies - among them fenugreek (greens, not the seeds) and cilantro are supposed to be very good for you. sprouts - you can eat any - I sprout moong beans, and some other beans I buy from the Indian store - I dont know what their English names are! What I meant by religiously is strictly and regularly... figure of speech! About wheat and rice - I found it helpful to avoid it.. your case might be different. You might want to try avoiding it for 5 days and decide if it made a difference. P&B = psyllium and Bentonite Shake - you can read about them here on curezone.com. Basically its to clean your colon. The Bentonite has good adsorbant properties and the psyllium is the fibre which makes elimination easy. Yes, I find fruit aggravates the acne.. I guess once you clear your system of the stuff that feeds on the sugar in fruits, you could resume eating fruits. until then, I would refrain from fruits. I say this from personal experience. I also got the acnefreein3days book which recommends a 3 days fast consisting of nothing but peeled red delicious apples. How religiously did you follow Leo’s book? Did you buy all the expensive supplements, vitamins, etc? How about the diet? I found the book for free online a few weeks ago and did follow some of the things that he recommends and I see some improvements in my cystic acne. But some persistent spots refuse to show any improvements. First of, get rid of all sugars from your diet - this includes refined sugar, sodas, white rice, fruits... Eat boiled veggies, salads, drink lots of water, eat a few garlic pods a day ( or you can take the garlic supplements, if the odor bothers you). Also avoid all oils, margarine, dairy. Try it for 4-5 days and see if you see any difference to your skin. This will convince you that your diet is the cause of most acne. Then you can read up here on how to cleanse your body and take requisite supplements to build your body back to what nature intended it to be.   [End]

Is sugar from fruits a possible cause for acne? I have moderate acne and was told to try a 3 day apple and water fast using red delicious apples ( peeled). Rather than seeing an improvement, I see a few more boils and cysts appear. I have in the past read that sugars from fruits should be accompanied by fats, say, from nuts... Is there truth in this? Has anyone tried a fruit diet for acne? Has anyone seen the condition deteriorate while on such a diet? Also, is low fat yogurt good for acne since it has acidophilus?   [End]
