Grizz - there's a third type of Colloidal Silver called "protein" or "mild protein Colloidal Silver ". This comes from reducing ionic silver into large particle clusters. Particles too big to stay in suspension by themselves they're suspended in gelatin, corn starch etc. But this not only dims the electrical charge but can allow bacteria, mold, etc into the mix.
What I refer to as pure Colloidal Silver are minute silver particles not ions that can stay in water suspension due to their size. Meso Silver is one example.
